i agree to this.
unless it had a modern drive train. it probably didn't have a LOT of power. most modern cars can beat STOCK old muscle cars of the 70's most of the time.
probably OLD crappy Tires and WET pavement had more to do with the spin than to much power.
heck even my underpowered 09 2.5L VW Jetta can easily smoke the new all season tires on wet pavement.

Interesting how the older vehicle stayed upright vs the newer one. High likelihood the newer vehicle was equipped with stability control.

Doesn't that depend in large part to the talents (or lack thereof) of the driver? And to the surface conditions?

All the driver had to do was lift off the throttle when the car started to wiggle on him. Could've avoided the whole mess. The car he hit went for a ride. That guy got shoved right into a big ditch and got launched.
