Can the ‘turning’ rubber be fixed? Mine for the Lil Red is that way. I’ve never done it, but it seems the fix would be to inject glue (maybe superglue….wear eye protection!) with a syringe.

I've successfully injected RTV using a syringe baster
While outside on the turnpike
They got this new hit tune
Where thrills become as cheap as gas
And gas as cheap as thrills

A friend of mine was doing this very thing (super glue ) back in the 80's.. on a couple Tuff wheels he had in his possession. It worked fine.

I understand how important it is to restore something that holds sentimental value. If you're looking to restore the leather grip on your Tuff wheel, you could check out Von Baer. They offer leather products that might help with your restoration. Here's their website https://vonbaer.com/. You could also try reaching out to local car upholstery shops or leather repair experts for assistance. They might be able to restore the grip and even match the red color to your car.
