Hello everyone! Restoring a 1970 Challenger. Is there any one out there that sells complete, ready to install heater (HVAC) boxes? Mine is missing some pieces, broken. I'd like to purchase a complete box.
Thanks, Jeff

I don't think anyone makes new heater boxes for any old Mopars, so it's find the best one you can get and make it work. I think Mopar Action has a how to on fixing them in the last issue or two?

People sell them on Ebay, but they are fragile so they need to be packed up carefully. I bought two years ago and they showed up with cracks from being squashed during shipping. I eventually located a nice one locally and went with it instead.

Hi Neil, That's kinda what I thought. I did see one on E-Bay, but it was already broken and still over a grand! I guess it's swap meet time!

They're still out there, posting a wanted ad here or on some of the other forums should turn one up without too much trouble, or swap meets like you said.

Case in point -
https://forum.e-bodies.org/parts-misc-for-sale/9/ac-heater-box-for-sale/27766/msg311120#msg311120

The 71-74 B-Body HVAC box is almost identical, there are a few minor differences between B&E but the B-Body one could still be good for a donor.

I think the 70 E is held together with clips and the later ones use screws instead, but otherwise the same?
