Hey guys, a friend of mine is rebuilding a 1974 318 in a Ramcharger, looking for cast pistons , using the stock heads, I am familiar with the BBM about the compression height, but not a 318, looking for around 9 ish to one compression , just dont want to end up with a piston way down in the hole , suggestions please.

Look for a piston with a compression height of around 1.80". The early 340s had a 1.84" CH, 1972-3 was 1.74". Summit shows forged pistons in that range of CH by DSS and ICON.
