I kinda like the factory oem replacements. I have used them in the past. With or without drain lug.

From above https://www.ebay.com/itm/195888853794https://www.ebay.com/itm/324604326460Edit: Stumpy beat me to it. The factory plastic type gasket that goes with those OEM pans is great and works with any pan, but the dealers want a lot of money for them. They are reusable so the pain is a one time event. Also make sure if you get a thicker setup than stock that the bolts are long enough.

Years ago I looked all over for a stock oem height raw steel pan and all I could find was deeper ones or chromed plated steel ones. If someone makes a stock replacement that would be cool, but I'm unsure if such a thing exists???

We ran the deep A-500/R4X pan on my Valiant for 3 years when I was spraying it with no filter spacer. It didn't hurt anything. It was running low 12s then.

Ted, be aware that the thicker gasket needs longer bolts in some locations.

I prefer the aluminum pans as they are less prone to distorting. I would too, but all cast aluminum pans are deeper than stock that I’ve found. The Summit Racing pan is priced well, made well and would dissipate heat as well. It is not super deep and would work on a street car.
