resqguy top fuel Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,222 Anderson, SC	I was there in 2000. I don't drink so I wasn't a lot of fun. The down side was leaving and taking public transportation back to the hotel. Too many foreigners puking on the busses and trains.

fal3 enthusiast F Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 253 Pasadena, Texas	Fall of'76. Was there for REFORGER exercise USA. Had a blast. Picture an American carnival awash with beer. The types of different beers were mind-boggling. Go and stay with a group. Be prepared for crowds.

360view Moparts resident spammer 3 Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 8,162 USA	I have relatives who have gone and they have told me I should put it on my travel “bucket-list.” I have gone to a Polish Beer festival deep in old Salt Mine in a huge room. It was great. It is worth trying the many foreign beers. The beers from around the northern British city of York are very good, perhaps because of Viking influence. It is worth learning about the special water chemistry used to make “India Pale Ale” and trying IPA’s.
