Wow! Aren't the bolts that hold the blower down supposed to strip out/break when it backfires? Forgive me if that's a stupid question...never messed w/ a blown combo before.

I found an intake (unused/unmodified) for a great price but the Windshield may cost more !!!! Yes they are... 4 did 4 didn't, as well as the burst panel didn't blow either... 36 PSI boost. We are onto a tune that it likes, banged it at 300ish feet and only ran 1.5/10ths off our best ET... We were just a little lean

I wish it would get cold enough around here to worry about breaking parts......
Last weekend was brutal.

Blower is good (Spins free no tight spots) getting re-striped over the winter regardless Haven't pulled anything else apart, I have a fund raiser (not for me... ) car show to attend next sat. The engine will come out and apart shortly after The only concern engine wise was it woudnt come out of High Gear while costing down, pulling on the engine...not good for the Aluminum rods. I think that is a separate issue, either the shift pod is set too tight or there are dimples in the shift ramps in the transmission. The pics look way more violent than it was, only when I get it apart will I know for sure. It was going to come apart for its normal (15-20 runs) maintenance anyway. Ill follow up as we go along, The new intake is on its way, I guy in CA had a New Old stock Veney intake and sold it to me for 2-3 times less than a typical used one goes for...so I got that going for me. If it happened earlier in the season we would have been stealing parts off the "Emergency " motor. The last race for us was this weekend so the Racing DT's started a week early.
