I'm attempting to find a quality glass person to repair the windshield in my 63 Plymouth Belvedere wagon because it is a spot that looks as though a rock hit it at one point and made a divet but it did not spider out. I'd "TEN TIMES" rather have my windshield repaired to minimize the risk of it spidering out ... BUT ... if the attempt is unsuccessful and I end up having to replace it ... AMD offers new windshields for the 62-63 cars.

My question is ... has anyone here bought one of these new AMD windshields for the 62-63 cars and if so, did they fit correctly ??

We bought a windshield from Summit for my sons 62 awhile back. Fit perfect.

I've had many repired with no problem. most time the insurance will pay if you have comp. Safelite has always done mine

If your windshield has the bulge, bubble at the top, the replacement will work but the window will be flat. I know windshields in the early 60's had this bulge at the top of them. Not sure when they stopped using them.

If you want the bulge, the junkyard, or there is a place in Sweden making them.

Safelite is who I tried to hire to make this repair but they didn't want to attempt it which surprised me. Work ethic has deteriorated so much and it's hard to find solid talent anymore ...

Yes ... they have a few things for the early cars but not near what they offer for 65 & up ...

Don't know anything about those years but last weekend I had to pay a borderline ridiculous price for a used windshield for a 72 c body from the guy in Ohio for my son's car ...
I never dreamed a used, 69-73 c body windshield would be worth $350...

Any local glass company should still be able to get you one if they are willing to order. I had Bell Tire and Glass order me a windshield. He delivered it, installed it and I even had him install my rear glass hat I already had while he was there. All for $300.00.
