Looks like I need the entire casing for the Schrader valve to sit in. Mi e took some kind of hit. Original Air doesn’t have them, neither did Napa. Any sources?

I do not see them serviced separate. Might come with the head. The valve core is 1992947. You should be able to clean the top up a bit. The valve core does the sealing down deeper in that fitting. So replacing the core should do it. Or look for a used one.

If I can get the core out without distorting things it should. It held -29 vacuum and lasted 300-350 miles before trouble set in. Maybe a mopar yard would have one they can pull off a junk compressor? Looks like it screws in.

Don't know if this is the same thread pitch going into the compressor but it may be a search start.

I just had to make an adapter for my VW GLI for the high side going from R12 to R134a and found that most all Schrader assemblies had a metric thread pitch of 11mm x 1.25mm (thread pitch) even on SAE compressors, lines, etc., You should remove the Schrader assembly and check what thread size and thread pitch you need before any further searching. You don't have to ask how I know. wink

For what its worth that port is not needed. Your car should have a service port on the suction and discharge side. That was just an additional diagnostic port for compressor inlet. You could take your old one and weld it shut, put the cap on and no one would know.

I considered plugging it and going on as an option. I just called a local guy I remembered with a private yard and I can stop by next week.
