Who on here runs a remote water pump on a RB engine? What do you use to adapt the AN hoses to the block? I know that Andy F made some but has discontinued making them. Shogun made a kit many years ago that was two tubes on a flange for each side and a AN fitting on either tube. This was advertised as a reverse flow system. They are no longer in business. CSI (changed to CSR later) made a water pump kit (in the mid 1990's) that used two alum blocks connected by a 1.25" tube with a upper radiator hose connection all made together. This system used a SB Chevy electric water pump that bolted to the alum blocks. This is also no longer available. Indy has a reverse flow manifold that could possibly work, but I don't think that it has a provision for a coolant temp sensor?
Any help or Ideas short of making something from scratch greatly appreciated.
Also, if anyone has one of these obsoleted items laying around, please PM me, I would be interested in them.

Thanks, Brian

I don't run a remote pump, but I do have AN hoses. I had a 16AN bung welded to the inley of the aluminum waterpump. The t-stat as a Chevy 16AN outlet from a circle track store. I had the housing bored to recess the t-stat about 3/4" below and then set a spacer on top to keep it in position. I had a bung welded to the radiator, the other hose has a threaded 16AN fitting.

I have a reverse flow Meziere waterpump with 16AN fittings I ran on the last engine. FLIW, I probably should have gone with AN 20.

I sell the blocks to Indy who sell them with their own name on them. I don't sell them under my own name anymore.

Sorry Andy, I misunderstood what you told me about making them. Is there enough "meat" there to install a temp sending unit?

Thanks, Brian

Mezeire makes a adapters WP84S for AN fittings on the block. They also make water neck spacers with holes for sending unit.
I ran the Indy Plate with a Mez SBC pump, still have it if anyone is interested.

Good Luck

Yes, there is plenty of room for a temp sending unit

I have run remote or radiator mounted pumps for years. I usually put them temp sensor in the radiator personally. It can get a bit busy with plumbing for sure.

Meziere makes block adapters and they work great. I have a buddy in Idaho who makes them for me as well but have used both. I also use their pumps.
