I had a 73 in the early 90’s.
73 was well enough after the AMC buy out, that mine had red white and blue emblems, and used AMC straight 6 and a GM trans.
Good little unit. Got me through some lean times.
I used to care but....... things have changed

GM sold the tooling of the 225 Dauntless V6 to Kaiser-Jeep in 1967, but after the oil crisis decided to buy it all back. They increased the bore to make it a 231 (3.8L).
1970 Dodge d100/eventually going on a 77 D100 frame

GM sold the tooling of the 225 Dauntless V6 to Kaiser-Jeep in 1967, but after the oil crisis decided to buy it all back. They increased the bore to make it a 231 (3.8L). ~ They sold off the Buick aluminum 215 V8 to Rover ~1965, and the Brits put in just about anything with wheels: Land Rovers, Triumph TR8, MGB GT, Rover 3500/SD1, TVRs, Morgans, and THOUSANDS of British race cars. Nice, lightweight efficient V8 that would have helped them a lot 10 years later...
