Hello. I bought an Aluminum Radiator a couple of years ago and thinking about painting it now. Is there any other radiator paint or thermal paint that is better or equal to the Eastwood Paint? Thank you in advance.

I just had two 70 Challenger 340 radiators re-cored at an old time radiator shop that the EPA hasn't found yet. The guys told me to paint the fins with lacquer paint, and use barely enough to color them. They said to paint the tanks with enamel for a nice finish, but be careful not to get the enamel on the fins because enamel is thicker than lacquer and will degrade cooling. I would imagine the same theory would apply to an aluminum radiator.

Being aluminum, cleaning the surface with a paint-prep solution or wax & grease remover, and using a zinc-rich primer, will help adhesion & durability.
Basically for the tanks, but at least priming the forward face of the fins would help keep them nice.
I've never had a cooling problem, even using enamel-repainted copper/brass radiators, on my restored cars.
Not saying it's bad advice, but it hasn't been an issue for me.
