A local had this truck posted for $1000. I went and looked at it, and it followed me home. I picked it up for $650
1977 D150, auto, air and two owner truck. It set in Oregon in a pole barn from 1988 until 2013. Then the son drove it to Idaho where it set beside his barn, notice the paint burned of the license plate, until yesterday.
It turned over at his house but wouldn't start, very rust free and straight. Got it home and got it started, coil ground wire broken. Its leaking fuel from the carb gasket, on order. Need to get a new tire for the passenger front, before I can take it on a drive.

Congrats. Cool truck and can't lose at a grand. Those trim pieces alone sell for a lot.

Thanks all. Some times it is just being in the right place at the right time.
It is probably going to be a quick flip, or let my son in-law have it, as he helped drag it home and get it running.

Update time. We got it running. Had to buy a new carburetor, the old one was leaking from everywhere (lol) found on on Amazon, they were asking $95, I put it in my cart, and when I went to buy it the next day, they had dropped the price to $44, Nice score. It runs great and no smoke, lots of walnut shells and mouse dropping out the exhaust. Drove it out of the driveway, no brakes... Bad master cylinder. Replaced that, bled the brakes, some one had recently replaced all the pads, rotors and front calipers, and she stops like a dream. A/C needs to be charged, fan switch needs to be replaced. Took out the house carpet and pad from the cab, but it still smells of mouse piss. Floors are perfect, minor surface rust only.

Thanks. I sold the cap for $50, and started painting the rims, two down two to go. New spark plugs and wires as well.

I see a lot of people getting the 80's pick ups but hardly any of the 70's. Better looking in my opinion. I bought my 78 in the early 90's, I guess by now they are considered "endangered species". 80s and 90s are more abundant around here, Idaho. I see very few 70s on the road. We do have a Sweptline hoarder near me though, he has almost twenty of them.

I wanted a '70s D100, but none in my area. Even the 80s and 90s are getting rare. My '81 popped up about an hour away, and I'm making it mine. And thru selling parts to finance purchases, Father's Day gift of the stacks, and trading labor for some body work, all I have into thgis deal is the cost of the exhaust shop to connect the stacks.
