Aside from the interior, I like it! $10.5 though? (I used to own a '79 Newport)

That interior color is straight outta the '50s - I had no idea it was available for a 1979 model. A bit spendy to entertain the guys at Cars & Coffee, but entertain it surely would. I think the camera made the color look worse than it really is.

I worked at a Dodge dealer in 1979 and dont remember that color interior in Diplomats. But in all the pictures it sure looks like a seafoam green to me I did to and I do remember it. The high line like this had the leather in that color and the low line Newports had cloth in that color. Seems like it was more on white models.

I would love to have one of these as an occasional cruiser. Seems like 90% were this color and the other 10% black.
The interior color would definitely be so much nicer in white but I might be able to get use to it's uniqueness.
They had a rock solid drivetrain but some of the trim pieces and bumpers didn't last.
Facts are stubborn things.

While this is a low mileage example, whenever I see an R-body, I've always wondered what you would do for weather stripping around the doors. On these the stripping was pretty thick, and mounted to the body, unlike a B-body where it was smaller and on the door. The brief time I had with my Newport, I liked it. To me, it felt lighter and more balanced than a late '70's B-body. Quality was pretty typical of Mopar at the time......

I for one love the interior color! I am sure they are crap cars, but put in a real 360 without the lean burn, keep an eye on the electrics, then enjoy the heck out of it...

I have been looking for one of these to replace my '79 LeSabre as a fair weather daily. That being said...the owner of this car is a friend of the guy I bought the LeSabre from oddly enough...and I know just enough to say that I would not buy this NY'er.

I had a white one with crimson interior just like the one posted , bought it at estate sale , was 1 owner low mile, drove it everywhere , paid $800 for it , that was in 1998
