The second allotment of long tube headers is now finished. The last set of headers went out and it's time to think about a possible third allotment. It all depends on signing up at minimum 20 people or it won't happen. TTi places a strict number on their production or it's not worth their time and slows the entire build process. I'm sure there are enough R/T's, Dakota Sports, Durango 2 wheel drives out there that at one time or another wanted a real set of custom long tubes that work. Especially those having to replace blown header gaskets and not getting the full power potential from shorties and mid lengths. We can already start the list by adding 3 ready to go. www.facebook.com/southeastrtMessage or PM to join

I'm planning a built 5.2 Magnum for my 56 pickup, and I want a strong torquey engine for a daily driver. These long tube headers look to be the best choice for what I want. Any idea of the price for a set?

Any idea of the price for a set? Dakotas are pretty short in the firewall area. I'd be surprised if a set would work in a truck like yours.

Good point. But in the case of my Dakota, its the donor chassis going under my 56 Dodge cab. So far I plan to cut up the Dakota cab, but retain the firewall/floorpan. Then I plan to weld the 56 cab onto the Dakota firewall/floorpan. If I need to create clearance to the firewall I can do that when the 56 cab goes onto the Dakota floorpan. That's assuming something like long tube headers can still fit within the area provided to the 2001 Dakota firewall.
Thanks for those pictures. Are those the long tube headers in a Dakota chassis with the 5.2 Magnum? My goal is a stout, torquey 5.2 Magnum and long tube headers help keep the torque curve lower in the RPM curve.

I just don't know how well a 5.2 will like all that volume.

I'm definitely calling John Monday. Up here in WI only three countries around Milwaukee and Madison require a smog test to pass for registration. Up here in Green Bay we can do as we please. Also, in WI my 56 will be titled/registered as a 56 even though it is on a 2001 Dakota chassis. WI goes by the tag number on the cab, not the number on the frame or from the donor chassis.

It's beginning again. People have been calling trying to get a set of these long tube headers but the last allotment has been shipped out. If you wanted a set of these headers, you better get on the current production list being formed. These are winners for the 2 wheel drive 97-03 Dakota and Durango trucks. Pictures, video and info are on www.facebook.com/southeastrt
