This color combination of tan on tan, on '73 to '76 Duster's...had to be by far, the most popular AND the most ugly. Ripped up headliner, ripped up vinyl roof, dirty interior, dirty engine, and compartment.... c'mon really? $3k tops.

Yup, had basically a twin to that car many years ago, and never could appreciate those colors.
Good car, just didn't want to look at it laugh2

Is this even a factory exterior color. Looks like a different shade than what I've seen from that era. Maybe lighter? I liked the earlier 340's with no vinyl roof that were the factory tan with the black stripes. This one doesn't look good.

This shade I like

Or this despite the vinyl. More of a brown.

Larry, those first two Dusters you posted, are gold... forget the actual Plymouth name of it. But the second one is a "Gold Duster" a package Plymouth offered starting in '73 iirc.

A lovely shade of prosthetic leg tan.

My wagon was a similar color and it was called 'Honey Gold'. I don't think I've ever seen yellow honey. work shruggy

When I bought my wagon, I had no idea how flat-out HATED the color was. Just by chance, sometime later, the person I had bought the wagon from was on here talking smack about the wagon and its awful color.

It even played a huge factor when I recently sold it. Two most common comments were 1) "if it wasn't THAT color" followed closely by 2) "if it wasn't a '73"

For me (and apparently me only) I'd take it over the green that was so common back then.

Meh, whatever.

The Gold Duster package was first offered as an option for the 1970 Plymouth Duster ---- and continued for the entire Duster production - 1976.
