I wouldn't paint the underside: meaning the side facing the lifter valley.
I do paint the upper surface (facing the intake) to match the engine.
But I'm from the school of the whole long block being 1 color...
(I'd say "as God and Chrysler intended", but that's a pot-stirrer stirthepot laugh2)
