Wife is going back to school in the area so we are relocating back to the Idaho panhandle, at least for a few years. Bought my first 4-spd Charger R/T from out of Lewiston in the mid-1990s and lived in Moscow for five years prior to that while we attended U of Idaho. There weren't too many Mopars around at that time from what I remember, mostly Chevys and Fords (but that is pretty typical of most places). I sold a '72 Cuda I owned to someone in the area prior to purchasing the R/T. I did make it down to Firebird Raceway for the Boise/Eagle/Nampa summer show and drags, which were fun to attend. I'm not sure how radically things have changed in the intervening 30 years, so I am just trying to get a feel for the area and any Chrysler specific events. Google is telling me there is a Hot August Nights in Lewiston and a few car events in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane, but I thought someone here might have some specific recommendations. Thanks!

I'm about 4 miles south of Sandpoint & 40 north of Coeur d'Alene (aka CdA). Yes, Mopars are in the minority in this area - like everywhere else - but there are several in the area. I can't speak for areas south of CdA, but up here there's been a lot of growth in 30 years, especially in Post Falls and the western CdA prairie. Not so much in my area, though some newer buildings have replaced the older ones that had more character, and some acreage is being developed into large homesites, say 1/2 acre or so. I've listed my place here with its 2000SF of shop space, to move closer to the Firebird track and get another drag car. But I'll miss the trees & creatures. Car shows up here are Sandpoint's Lost In The 50s, Car De Lane in CdA, Goodguys in Spokane, smaller deals at various businesses, and Sandpoint Cars & Coffee; nothing Mopar-specific. Still a Red State, though there are pockets of the other folks and some of them are in local gov't. Housing isn't taking the hit it is elsewhere, but most living expenses are cheaper than elsewhere.

Thank you for the response!
Good luck with your sale and move. I always missed the Palouse and green of the north, but can see how moving to southern Idaho can open up the doors to doing much more in the Boise area and spending some regular time at Firebird.
Yes, I am looking forward to some cheaper costs and to having more garage space to do some work on cars and bikes. The place we're getting into has a two-car, and it has a side workshop area where I won't have to pack up my stuff each and every weekend if I don't get something done. Nice for a change.

Where ? I know some good people up here, but maybe too far North for you. Feel free to PM me if you prefer. Only in Northern Idaho: I get as many compliments on my Squarebody K10 as I do on the Road Runners
