Do all Hemi B body cars come with power brakes? Does this mean a booster for front disc brakes or drum brakes? Thanks in advance for advice.

No not all had power brake. If you had disc brakes you did get power. You could also get power drums I believe. No manual disc for B body.

On the 1967 B-bodies, if you ordered the Hemi with a four-speed, power disc brakes were a mandatory option. If you ordered the Hemi with the Torqueflite, there were no braking requirements. This as per the salesman's pocket reference.

Are you sure about the info in the above post? Please show where is says that hemi 4 speed requires disc brakes.

https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/1967SalesmansPocketGuidesPlymouth-01.shtml

See photos, from salesman pocket guide.
GTX is far right column.
HD brakes standard, disc optional on all models.
Looking on transmission, engine and brake sections, nothing about this as mandatory.
451 is power brakes
408 is sure grip, they have those down as required.

I have the 1967 data book and reading through it about brakes, transmission, and hemi there is nothing said about this combo requiring disc brakes.

If you go to hamtrak and look at the dealer data book for plymouth that calls out Disc as mandatory as stated.

that was NOT a factory OPTION - all '69 b-bodies with disc brakes were fixed 4-piston calipers with a Bendix dual diaphragm power brake booster

Then explain why manual disc brakes are listed in the parts book

From about 1975 on, I put disc brakes on every Mopar that came into my household. Didn't matter what Chrysler sent it from the factory with.

You have to look at vehicle. That was A body only. KH system.

Look at R and W and it is not an option. Look at Hemi engine and Power disc only.

Someone harvested and expensive booster and hemi linkage. Or got tired of moving MC to take off valve cover and switched to manual MC. I don't think you car is a good braking with those bendix in front, but for a show car/ occasional cruiser no problem. Do you have B51 on fender tag?

Chrysler apparently changed their mind from year to year on Hemi brakes.
Both 68 RR Hemi 4-speed cars I've owned had 11" manual drums.
FWIW: The one with the best braking ability had 265/50 & 295/50 tires on 15x8s...

Nope - those wheels and tires were certainly not original.
My point was that tires are a significant part of braking, just as they are for cornering.

I don't know if it was Chrysler or the public. 67-69 Disc did not seem like a well sought option early on especially for a hemi. Certainly easier motor maintenance without Power brakes. shruggy

Thanks for posting that, good to see in print.
So it is not in the salmons pocket guide it’s in the back of the data book, not the main part.
