With drag week coming up in September I plan to take a peak inside my 904 before then, hopefully, maybe ha. I know the tailshaft bushing is a little loose and has some slop. I know they make roller ones but would those survive on the street? I run a inland empire yoke which I believe is a harder material vs the stock one.

As long as it's getting fluid to the bearings, it should be just fine. I would think a Gear Vendor's uses the same type of setup in them, and look how many of those are used during Drag Week.

Yes, had one on a 727 used on the street. They take a special yoke that is hardened and sized specifically for the roller bearing.
