Can some post a picture and description of a correct '70 Cuda gas cap.There always seems to be some debate of what a truly correct one looks like.Thanks!!

Mine is question would be the Federal,but would also like to see both...How did I know you'd have them Snoopy??

Here is what I was told is an original 70 federal gas cap. It's pretty ugly.

The wording is reversed on the new Stant cap. New Stant cap for comparison.

I will post a California (ECS) cap if I can find the picture.

How much do these go for these days? I paid $40 for mine NOS at a car show. About a year later I saw in a magazine that the guy had paid $1200 for his. His was trying for OE I think. I've still got the article somewhere.

The Federal caps come up for sale on eBay, but I have never seen a California ECS cap for sale.

I have pickd up one of each over the years and did not know for sure which one was correct for my non-ECS car until now.I'll put the correct cap on my car,but what if any problems will occur if you were to use an ECS cap on a non-ECS car?
