Now I know what that radio block off plate down in my basement is from.

I like it.... but would have to do something about that park bench rear bumper for sure.

Based on the extreme wear on the clutch pedal...my guess is more like 236,000 miles. But a very cool ride. I like it.

What a cool looking car. Maybe overpriced though shruggy

Just don't understand why the tri-five chebbies get all the attention with beautiful streamline designs like this are out there. I guess the chebby sheep are blind.

I've never understood those "Continental kits", but much of the car looks pretty nice.
Gotta wonder why the OEM gauges weren't hooked up after the restoration; didn't the '56s have 12V systems ?
Maybe that was another shortcut like the alternator adjustment bracket, or the '70s GM style door mirrors ?
I would imagine the gold-tone gas door cover isn't easy to find.
But IIRC, those air cleaner lids are hard to find and spendy.
The S-10 trans is interesting, but I would think it's something a purist wouldn't like.

The clutch pedal is out of a different car. Seems odd for all the 'upgrades', seemingly simple details were ignored.....

Speaking of pedals, no comment about the original? pedal shoved to the firewall behind the 'new' pedals? :confused

That is a pedal, isn't it? work

I didn't even notice the other pedal. Did notice the custom hole cut out for the accelerator pedal. Wonder what other shoddy work is hiding in the shadows...

It looks like the two clutch pedals are bolted together to operate a hydraulic set up.You can see the reservoir hiding behind the the one for the wilwood brake.

I didn't notice a lot of the "details" mentioned above but I did notice how well the side trim (more likely the doors) are aligned.

Many extra photos and a vidio on Hemmings but is hard to find. You must go to cars for sale on classified and type in 1956 Plymouth Fury.

Not hard to find at all. rolleyes

The page was slow to load for me, but eventually, a video does show up towards the bottom of the page. It actually doesn't sound bad.

The carpeting around the shifter, wiring looks sketchy, I'm sure there'll be a lot more things for the new owner to find. The s-10 5 spd's had a real low 1st gear which can make one shift to 2nd about the time the clutch is fully up wink twocents

It sure looks pretty.
Lots of details that look off just a bit. I suspect there will be some new owner discoveries that may require additional funds to "update" the car.

It looks to be a bit confused. Is it a hot rod, or a custom, or a rare original? How do you claim to have a rare car when you have changed so much it has lost its originality?

I'd probably drive it (after changing the S10 5 speed for a better option, and put the rear bumper back where it belongs) and it might even be fun.

It sure looks pretty....

BUTT Connector? quite popular in certain area-rs 🤣 here's a couple examples. The first was the main power feed to the fuse box in a freshly PRO Built 55 Chevy. The battery kept going dead so the PRO shop put a disconnect switch on the battery whistling The problem was found to be a miswired relay coil grin we also replaced the main feed. Told the owner it really needed a complete rewire

second pic. Freshly installed wiring kit in a 66 Coronet. touch 1 wire and 3 things would change shock kept the battery disconnected on this one

^^^ Lovely. And the kind of crap that can burn your shop down. Wise to disconnect the battery on those !

those look like some of the same harnesses i have had to fix ! laugh2
one guy didn't want to cut his new harness to the headlights, so he just ran it back and forth on the core support until it was the "right" length to connect to the lights.
the bundle of excess wire was "only" about 1 1/2" thick. biggrin

Bought a Valiant when I was in HS ('84) where the kid had wired in Christmas lights up under the dash. First time driving it at night I about freaked out when the dash first started glowing orange then started flashing....... eek Thought the friggin' thing was on fire........... mad spank
