This is 2wd reg cab long bed 4.7.
Gonna be towing with it a bit, nothing crazy, truck rated for 6250 tow cap, I'm looking around 4000-4500 lb, camper and gear.
This is my 2nd summer with the truck, and even empty it seems to build up hotter say when sitting at a light and takes longer to normalize once underway, than I remember last year. I did clean the fins and such on the radiator and condenser, that seemed to help a little.
Though 213 isn't terrible that's 10-15* hotter than I ever saw it last year. That's running an empty bed and no trailer.
And doesn't leave me much wiggle room..... This is my 1st 4.7 and call me a bit paranoid, with all the horror stories I've heard about these engines...I want to be on the safe side.
212 isn't horrible I know. But that's less leeway than I used to see out of this truck, I miss the 318s and 360s.... but unfortunately I still owe 2-1/2 years on this thing so I'm stuck.
I see that champion and others offer all aluminum 3 row replacement direct fit radiators for these trucks for what seems decent money especially compared to a stock type aluminum/plastic pile of crap. Thoughts?

Another thing I've heard is that the water pumps have gone to a plastic (yikes) impeller as well ..
I'm probably gonna be buying a spare just to have here next payday. I have seen that on the aftermarket I can get a wp with either plastic or steel impeller... My vote is steel
At work I'm stuck wrenching on fords and I've seen a few of their plastic water pumps come apart....
I work on the fleet of vehicles owned by the miserable state that I live in and they sure love their fords (I don't)
