I stopped by my Local Napa today on lunch and picked up an oil filter for my brothers 383 Barracuda.
I have been running a Wix 51515 on mine, I have never ran the Napa Gold filter before. I wanted to make sure I picked up the correct the correct filter.

068 is the shorty for PS cars, 515 is the long that is better to get if you have manual steering.
I want my fair share

Do you have a Federal or Saginaw pump? I could see the Federal clearing because it mounts high
I don't know how to ID the pump. The Coronet R/T 440 4 speed did not come with PS. It was added 10 years ago with components from another BB car. There is at least an inch and a half clearance for the PS belt above the long filter.

I've always used the long (1qt) filter on my BB motors, manual & power steering, 383s & 440s, no clearance problems. When changing BB filters I use a small tin cooking sheet, bend the edges around to hold whatever oil spills, angled down in front over the drain pan. You can fill the filter at least halfway and spin 'em on before much drips out.
I use an old cereal box to channel the oil. Gets easy after the second time it runs across the crossmember.
