in my "stuff" collection i'm weeding out, i stumbled upon a box of interior trim [door pulls, door ash tray assemblies, window switches] and what appears to be the complete wiring harness, from my 69 imperial 4 door i scrapped about 25 or 30 years ago. i thought i kept the engine and transmission from that car, but for some reason, i can't find them now......... does anyone play with these cars today ?

From firewall back it's mostly C. Going forward, it's very different.

Some say it because it is a fact, they have always been Y-Body's...

Some say it because it is a fact, they have always been Y-Body's... LOL, that must be it. I learned something new. So was it '74 they became C?

I know it's not a c body but you might try over at for c bodies only dot com . No they are not "C" Boby's but they are loved and embraced on FCBO.

Some say it because it is a fact, they have always been Y-Body's... for some reason, i always thought they were D-body's ? surprisingly for me, i have already got a couple of pm's on this stuff. as i have some doctor appointments this afternoon, and the next day or two, i'll have to dig this stuff out so i can really go through it to see what's there. anyone have an idea what years possibly interchange with the 69 ? i also scrapped out a 70 something imperial, and it was entirely different than my 69. i'm not sure if i kept anything from that car or not.

From firewall back it's mostly C. Going forward, it's very different. It even depends on the year. I've had a '67 Imperial, a '68 300 and '68 Fury. The Fury shares leaf springs with B bodies, and I was able to use B body caltracs and shocks as well. The Imperial had different leafs, a track bar, and CV joints instead of universal joints. Nothing rode like that Imperial though.

I still love the '74-'78 mostist. I know they are more smoggy motored but looks wise, but I'd take me ANY Imperial!
