Bummer for sure as this is always a good show and turnout weather permitting for racing and all.

I will go at least for the swap meet mostly then check out the car show The racing was a bonus for me.

Have been watching the forecast for Saturday all week. Right now it looks like any chance of rain ends about midnight tonight and it's just cloudy tomorrow up until 2 in the afternoon. Can't see beyond 2 in the afternoon right now.

The track is being repaved and that isn't finished. That stinks, because this show has always had really good racing as part of its great appeal.

Personally it's worse, because my Barracuda is at the shop getting a little work done and that's not finished either.

Still, hate to miss this show. It's the kick-off for the whole Mopar year here in North Carolina.

So the weather turned out better than the original forecast. The turnout of cars was better than expected, and the day was pretty enjoyable.

Missed the racing of course. There's just not as much to see and do without it. So I spent more time in the swap meet, and hangout with some buddies.

Over all, not a bad day, but look forward to next year when they'll be racing again!

I went thru the gate at around 7:30 and was set up in the swap meet by 7:45. By 8:30, I had sold a boat load of stuff and could have thrown the junk (literally) I had left in the back of the truck and headed on to the beach. I stayed until around 1 PM though, and sold a few more things. It was a good day, but hate that the racers got the axe due to paving. It's my favorite show and I'll be back next year!

I hung out in the swap area a LOT with my buddy Matt. Early on he made a nice sale on some wheels and tires that set him up to have a really good day. And that he did... the stuff was moving, and he made some decent $$$.
