Anyone using these , specifically the D4827 30 x9 R15 .or the newer 30x9 for FSS cars
Looking at running these for bracket racing on my Plymouth footbraking . Tracks normally ok though not stellar nor specific radial prep . I cannot get PBRs , 29,5x10.5R15 , as zero stock . I have got Hoosier 30x10.5R15 radial slicks but they are nearly done and by crikey the price is up .
The PBRs i would get up around 180 passes the Hoosier are under 80 .
Any thoughts appreciated

Tex

. I cannot get PBRs , 29,5x10.5R15 , as zero stock

Talk to a Goodyear Rep this past weekend at the Superbowl he said they were stepping up production on the PBR's.

I have not run them but I did look at the Good year radials on a few cars at Rockingham and St Louis. I talked to the folks at the Mickey Thompson truck and they told me the PBR was ramped up in production.
I am running the hoosier radial now since I couldnt get the PBR and to me it is more of a bias than a PBR radial looking at my log book data.

We found a set of 28x9's at the Jegs store about a month ago.

Sometime they sell them in store before listing them as they go so fast.

Talked to distributer here - been on back order since August apparently . No date or idea of supply

I am in same boat as you running Hoosier . As footbrake my data seems to show a little quicker ET on them . They dont seem as happy running off transbrake .
I can buy Hoosier but over $600.00 each

Jegs list the 29.5s but after i factor freight its more than $1500 Aussie pesos delivered . I may have to look at freight forwarder ?

Thanks everyone for replies . But do anyone but Stock/Superstock run the Goodyear ?

I've run the 30x9 Goodyear radial on both my Dart, and my Stocker. Good tire, lasts a long time. I have friends that run them in the low 1.3 to high 1.2 second 60 foot range for 150+ runs before changing.

If you can get those locally i dont think you'd be unhappy, as long as your track is prepped decently.

Edit: I've seen both the FSS 30x9 in person next to the older style, if you can fit it definitely worth using the bigger FSS tire

Thanks Dustin ,
I did buy the GY this past week . Price was good and they were made in 11/22 .
From my thoughts feel the GY has a stiffer sidewall than Hoosier .
They dont have the newer GY at moment , its on order but could be a few months away and Hoosier was onto cords
What air pressure range did you use ? I have them on a 10" rim and will start with 19psi , same as Hoosier and MT ive used . Regular 4/5 second burnout out and drive out or ?
125/150 passes would be great .
Thanks for your input .
Tracks here are ok mostly . 🤞

19 should be in the ballpark

We had goodluck doing short burnouts, just get them spinning and lightly smoking as driving out. Doesn't need much. That will help with life as well.
