Anything for me to do while my wife goes to the quilting shops?

It's scenic, and the food at Amish restaurants is great and served in volume...

Great place to visit we have been there a bunch of times !... The old train ride is in Strasburg a little south of Lancaster. Its pretty cool we did it a few years ago . You might want to check out " Barrys Car Barn " in Intercouse Pa ( not far from Lancaster a few miles ) the place is only a few years old and has a great collection !including some Mopars . There are some nice little shops right by the museum also . The scenery around there is really beautiful once you get off the main roads . Lots of places to eat .

We had lunch at the Bird In Hand restaurant today up We will probably hit the Car Barn tomorrow. At least Four fabric shops so far today. I'm sitting in a rocker outside one right now. Probably done with that for today since pretty much everything closes at 5:00.
I'll check out the train ride.

Driving back home on Friday so no dragstrip. I think Shady maple is the place with the 200ft buffet.
Might go there tomorrow after the train ride and the Car Barn.

Shady Maple, only to be bested, in my opinion, by Millers. Millers is in Paradise, right before you hit Puddin Town ( yes, Lancaster has the best town names) Your lady will love it. A short, short drive will land you in Lititz, home of the most awesome hardware store/palace on earth, PAUL B'S!!!!! Lititz is loaded with things for the miss also!

The Classic Auto Mall is pretty cool , we always stay at the Holiday Inn ( part of the same building ) when racing at Maple Grove. The museum was closed but you could still see some of the cars when walking thru. I believe they are a consigner also as a lot of the cars are for sale.

Also, locals call it LANC-aster. Other cities with the same name pronounce it LAN-caster. I grew up about 1/2hr away in York.

Gotta try the Shoo-Fly Pie Mmmmm
