I gave up using gaskets on the motor plate long ago. Ultra Grey RTV never leaks. As far as duribilty. Urethane holds up as good if not better than powder coat. Heck my heads even have the Indy logo bonded.
Doug What brand paint is it? PPG or Dupont ? DCC, Chroma One, Chromapremeier SS , Imron , Or some Industrial line??
