Ford has applied for a patent to give cars the ability to repo themselves. And that's just the tip of the iceburg........

I think this is perfect. The capability ought to likewise be utilized to get vehicles off the street that don't meet the protection prerequisites in that frame of mind for that vehicle. This is an Enormous issue and I would be in support of it.

Ironically, there was a local Ford dealer (Mel Farr Ford) who had immobilizing devices on their vehicles. If you didn't make your payments they could shut you down. Ford did not find that acceptable. His dealership eventually failed.
I realize this is taking the technology to another level, but is it really all that different?

And yes, I realize the Mel Farr system could lead to cars stopping dead in the middle of an intersection or on the freeway. That wasn't the part Ford had heartburn with.
