1970s or 80s 1/2 Ton short bed 4 wheel drive with the famous leaning tower of power 225 cid. I am looking for this and come up short every time.
Years back I had a Short bed Miser 2 wd. Would really like a 4 x 4 now.

The short bed 4x4 was available with the slant 6 as far back as I can remember. So estimate early 60's all the way to its end in 1987 where the v-6 took over in 1988.

Last place I worked back East had an '84? as a plow truck for their parking lot. At the time, it wasn't even 10 yrs old, so it wasn't rotted to the door handles. I thought it was kind of a shame it got stuck with plow duty as it was a sharp looking truck in pretty good shape body wise.

Couldn't find the exact truck online, but imagine this as a short 4X4 and you've got it.

Our military base used to have a ton of these (late 70s style) with 225 Slant 6, 4 speed, 4x4, 1/2 ton shortbed trucks. They ran around the bases as utility vehicles, mostly. No power steering, either.
Many of them were scrapped (they were used pretty hard), I know of one 225 Slant 6 that lives on powering a generator unit, and a couple of the trucks that weren't totally used up were converted to V8 power years ago.
