You know where your pistons are now in your block now so it is time look at the other 318 pistons out there for a taller compression height How about a .050 to .075 longer rod? The KB hypereutectics are very close to zero deck, just be careful of the intake valve eyebrows are so big they dont leave much meat around the bores, at least on a standard 3.91 bore, an oversize is probably fine. I built a 341" motor with those KB's in a standard bore low mileage 318 block and a 3.55 stroke MP crank with 6" aluminum rods, it rev'ed like a Banshee WIZE World's Quickest Diahatsu Rocky (??) 414" Stroker Small block Mopar Powered. 10.84 @ 123...and gettin' quicker! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mWzLma3YGI In Car: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjXcf95e6v0

I never heard of the DSS piston brand before. The early 340 high compression pistons had a compression height of 1.84" and they stuck above deck by .018" (for a nominal deck height).
