The 383/440 HP cam that most people are familiar with is P4452783. It was used from 1968 to around 1974. Before 1968 I don't know what they were using.
68 Roadrunner. 383 4-spd. Beat up.

For a 1966 440, the factory camshaft part number is 3577181. Also referred to by it's casting number 2532190. It was used in various 383, 400, 413, and 440 engines from 1965 to 1973. It's a hydraulic lifter camshaft, with .050" duration of 206 degrees intake, 210 degrees exhaust, .431" gross intake lift, .429" gross exhaust lift, on 113 degrees lobe separation. Regards, Chase

There was no "HP" 440 in 1966, just a 440 (Chrysler 300's had "440 TNT" on the air cleaner but there was nothing "HP" about them).
According to what was written on page 81 of this book , "In mid-1965, development was under-way on a higher output engine. This led directly to the Chrysler 440 TNT, the Dodge 440 Magnum and the Plymouth 440 Super Commando. The 365bhp engine was, in fact, almost a mid-model-year release, but not quite. It was listed right along with the 350bhp engine in all of the 1966 police literature.
... The 365bhp engine was optional in the 1966 Polara police car and the Chrysler 300 passenger car."
I felt compelled to make the point

You are reading a history book (most of which have plenty of errors) but regardless, the comments were things that happened after the fact. "Lead to" means, came later. The (375 horse HP)Dodge 440 Magnum and the Plymouth 440 Super Commando came in later years, not in 1966, the author lumped them all together in one comment.
The 1966 440 TNT had a cool sounding name but unlike the Commandos, Magnums, and later year TNT versions, they were very mundane engines, basically a bored out 413 sharing the very same log style exhaust manifolds, small valve 516 heads, small 4130 AFB carburetor, low rise intake manifold, etc.
I owned one in a survivor 1966 300, they were great for tugging around a heavy car, plenty of torque and idled as smooth as a kitten, but quite tame by comparisons to the later HP engines.

3577181 was also used in 1970-77 440 RVs. I assume the RV 440 was chain drive or it would need reverse grind. For a 1966 440, the factory camshaft part number is 3577181. Also referred to by it's casting number 2532190. It was used in various 383, 400, 413, and 440 engines from 1965 to 1973. Regards, Chase I am guessing that the specs are similar for 413 as that 440 cam was used across sizes and models according to my FSM. In searching for the specs on my OEM 413-1 cam #3761475 (from the parts book) I only found one reference on the whole web (one for sale). I did however find the manual for the identical (?) marine engine https://manualzz.com/download/14451356 which has power curves for the marine models of 318, 383, 413, 426. Supposedly the only marine RB motors that got the Gear drive were the M-413-E's and a few M-426's. The 413-1 cam gears are rare, but the marine version, the M-413-E is identical except for the carb and pump - pistons, valves, cam gears etc. are the same. The Chrysler V8 marine Engines manual has the only reference to a power curve I've seen; since the M-413-E has a different carb it lists 250HP rather than the 235net/265gross of the RV motor. Very flat torque from 1200 to 4200! (BTW in the chart, columns are: year 318 360 413 440)

LOL BTW the linky doesn't open I will comment a casting number means nothing as it is a RAW unit until the profile is added and processed . Right up there with the NON Inspected 6 pack rods. Same casting number bu t not the same application / processing

.....Aww c'mon Scott you're just running up your post numbers. LOL BTW............. I'm just curious what prompted this 9 year old thread to get resurrected... I was looking for numbers on the 413 RV cam (and still am) and this is the closest thing on the whole web. Still unsure if the 440 cam specs are similar enough to the 413 to matter. Of course the -1 and -3 gear drive engines have reverse ground cams as well... So yeah, fishing for specs.

My 66 Sport Fury came from the factory with the J engine code 365hp 440 (it's a 4speed) I'm not certain which cam but maybe the parts book will tell me.

The 365 HP TNT was also available on the 66 New Yorker and a 66 Polara (non Police).
I owned the Chrysler and my buddy the Polara, both bought new.
He ordered his with Sure-Grip 3.90s, mine had a n open 3.23, std. on TNT along with dual exhaust and a dual snorkel air cleaner.
We both ran cold air tubes from under the front bumpers to the snorkels. At the track with Goodyear street tires, he ran 14.8s, I think and I ran 15.6s? at 92 MPH.
Played with the timing, it needed more and jetting, lotta fun in those days.
My buddy claimed his was a 383 til he was caught, won a few bogus trophies.
Blast from the past....
