I went looking for a valve spring spec, found their site down,
And not much help from the online mega-retailers who have
Near nothing in stock.

Found the specs on another site, but kept digging and eventually
Came across an obituary 😒

https://www.jconline.com/obituaries/ljc061439

Anyone know if they have any plans to come back?
Seems unlikely at this point.

Thx

Yes, unfortunate of his passing. K MOTION has been discontinued. I believe Manley bought up their stock. We use alot of PAC, PSI, Manley, Comp, Isky and Ferrea springs.

That's too bad, one less option available.

I had used K Motion a few times. It must have been a small operation to go away like that. But I suppose my stuff will go away when I'm not able to make them anymore too.

The racing industry just keeps getting smaller and smaller as investment corporations keep buying up the brand names, merging them and ruining what has been a good thing for 50+ years.

Kmotion springs did not treat me well. I broke several. I would never use them again.

They have been OK for me a few times now, but I've only built street engines.

Have read about many failures on them in the past, especially on certain part numbers, which definitely soured alot of folks on the brand.

When they first came out on the market - it was the hot valve spring to have and shortly there after the market seemed to become became flooded with quality valve springs - I had good luck with them at first but then we had a rash of broken valve springs - switched to PAC springs and been there since with no issues.
