I've been around dogs since the 1950s until the mid 80s when my mom's German Sheppard passed away.
I debated on getting another dog recently but never did it.
My son recently got a puppy and since they live nearby, I get to play with him all the time now, the best of all worlds, LOL.
I had forgotten what great animals dogs are. He's a blast.

Two of my boys keeping an eye on things outside. They both grew up having fun on the Semi tire swing. He even liked climbing the steps of the play structure to over look the yard.

We've had two female boxers over the years, but sadly boxers don't have a long lifespan, so you have to love them as much as possible. We keep talking about getting another..........

My dog Ruger, when he was a pup. He's 6 years old now, and has been my shadow since day one.

Our girls Katie and Susie.

We've had quite a few dogs over the years, but there's never been one quite like our Maggie. Gentlest, sweetest natured dog we've ever had around. Got her from a rescue almost 10 years ago now. She has some Golden Retriever in her, and we're not sure what else.

We have 2 rescues that we got as puppies. A bagel (beagle/basset mix) and some sort of pit mix. Both females and both great dogs.
Ellie (the bagel) is a couch potato, just the way my wife wanted her to be, lol.
Wookie (named that b/c she made Chewbacca sounds when she was a puppy) is my shadow. Has a bed in the shop so she doesn't have to lay on concrete and refuses to let me operate the backhoe without her being on it w/ me.

They are all cute. Ruger is extra cute

Looks like my boy's pup has finally shed his puppy teeth. My arms can now heal, LOL.

I hope to have another dog when I retire. I love dogs, had one from when I was five years old until she died when I was twenty years old. As much as I'd like one now I'm gone so much it would be selfish of me. Not that it hasn't crossed my mind a few times anyway!

I'm retired so I also thought about getting another one. But this works out perfect for me, LOL.
I don't know what it is about Petco but he goes bat sh*t crazy in Petco. He embarrassed me the first time I took him there weeks ago. I took him again yesterday and we didn't make it thru the front door. I took him home.
Hopefully he will get thru this puppy stage.
