Haven't been on here for a year or two but hoping an old painter can help me. Cleaning out an old shop we ran across several new cans of PPG coarse aluminum lacquer for making textured argent. I do have an old centauri formula and suspect it's very close but wonder if anyone might have the PPG? Thank you.

Dang! Talk about a lengthy safety data sheet. No wonder lacquer has all but been banned.
After reading all that info, who'd want to spray it.
Just think all the years past where this was a common paint & guys sprayed with minimal, if any, protection.
Just rambling here.

Well, darn, I was hoping someone kept (I didn't, obviously) kept an old microfiche. Here's the Centari formulas just in case someone can use it.

One contributor "Cuda Coda" did a lot of work to create an accurate formula but 2 of the ingredients From PPG are now unavailable. So I can affirm that Summit UP312Q Black Satin is about the best we're gonna do to duplicate Organisol
