This year I want to come to the US to follow Dragweek. I have a friend who has done it twice so far & he said it was the best fun you can have with your pants on. So where does one get the info on which tracks are being used & which Motels are best to use so we can hang & get to know some of the competitors? We will be wanting to arrange flights early so we can get the best deals & then organize a rental for 10 days. So if can enlighten us on how to go about it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Tracks have yet to be announced this year. It is assumed it will take place September 17-22. As for Hotels, book as soon as tracks are announced. Anything within 15 miles of the track, there will be participants. Want to make friends? Order pizzas, and have a cooler full of beer, and hand it out to people with a wrist band at the hotel. For some, it might be the only meal they have that day, and nothing tastes better...

It is great that there are more Drag and Drive events, but there is still nothing that compares to the Original Drag Week, especially for first timers. Nothing against the others, but none of them fill up a race track mid week like DW. As for Veteran Competitors, they prefer the newer events. Less cars, and different tracks.

I am surprised they haven't announced the Drag Week tracks yet. I know they tried the southeast last year but then the plan got flushed down the toilet after Memphis closed.

There was a brief schedule leak from Rockingham that showed it as one of the stops this year. It was taken down, they have completely changed the route when this scenario has happened in the past so who knows.

If Rockingham is in the mix I could see Bristol, Rockingham, Darlington, and Zmax be potentials.

After 8 drag weeks its getting hard to check off new tracks. I am at 22 tracks now and I have driven my racecar in and out of the gate for each of them. I am a bad spectator I have only been to 3 tracks I haven't raced at.

That is Matt Blasco's Dirty Drag Week Dart. It's all pretty and blue now. It also has a Goodwin Hemi in it.

That ride to and from Bristol will be rough.

As in distance or road conditions? 2018 had some of my favorite drives coming to and from Bristol. A 68 Barracuda loaded to the roof on skinnies with a spool wasn't the best vehicle for it, and I went nuclear with the trans at one point but great drives haha.

This would be two new tracks for me, but it would be the longest tow we have made if I sign up.

I was just thinking about the mountains and then Carolina dragway is in the middle of nowhere. I don't like going to that track from my house...and it's straight down the interstate, lol. Nothing against the track itself...it's a nice place.
