Anybody with experience with the Eaton Detroit Tru Track slipper centres for the 8 3/4 diffs. Very expensive down under but if worth it I will get one.

I have had a bad experience with the true track , it was assembled wrong by Eaton but was not discovered till after the 12month warranty was up when we found the rear diff full of metal particles ... about 15k miles of mixed street driving and drag racing. I had to beat the axle out after fighting to get the c clip out ... ford 8.8.

Eaton did nothing for my friend that was the owner so we switched over to a Yukon Grizzly locker ... Detroit locker style .

running up my post count some more .

I run the offering from Dr Diff. so far a so good. My son and I give the unit a thrashing whenever we can.

I recommend my 8.75" helical differential. It is smooth, strong and quiet. See below:

My post looks like I was saying Dr Diffs made noise, mine was an Eaton one that was VERY bad, if Dr Diff says his is good I believe him !!!!!! I corrected my other post, sorry about that Cass !!!!

Funny Story,

I took the Diff i bought from Dr. Diff to my local ring and pinion shop to be installed. He asked where I got it and I told him I bought it from Dr. Diff on the Moparts web blog. before he even looked at it, he said it was a Chinese knock off piece of junk. he told me he has seen a million of them that fall apart on installation and i should reconsider. I said to him you have no idea about the product because you have not even looked at it, and since i was paying him top dollar I would like him to continue to install per my request. a few days later he called and said it was all set and ready to pick up. when I got there, he apologies for calling it a piece of garbage and said it looked to be a very well-built piece. then asked again what the website was that i purchased it off of.

his initial thought was eBay garbage!!! boy was he wrong.

I have since invested money in tools and such to do my own ring and pinion changes.

I got you Dr Diff!!!

Thank you
Kiddart
