I'm running an MP .557 cam; was wondering if, from a tuning perspective, closing the lash up .010 (in steps)is too much; spec is .028 int and .032 exh, so I'd be closing up to .018 int, and .022 exh. I know there are "tight lash cams" that run closer than this, but I also know the ramp on the lobe is different also.
Just don't want to cause a cam failure.
If the engine likes tighter lash (more lift) I'll probably go shopping for another cam.
Thanks,
Jim Burch
