Although it’s a very nice car it’s been modified way past what a lot of heads-up classes allow. The firewall mods alone disqualifies it from many classes.
Its not a Mustang or a Camaro......And to be honest, it looks super clean the way they have it. And I thought small tire racing only required stock style suspension and a small tire. Stock firewall in stock position is a big rule. Aftermarket front suspension allowed but must mount in the stock position on the stock front frame rails. Lots of different classes with lots of different rules. So my question is, what class is this? Do I need a matching VIN tag too?....Either race or don't race...Classes with too many rules lose car counts. These rules have been copied for several Mopar racers and Nosh has fine tuned them over the years but mostly weighs and engine combos. Grabbed this quick so I’m not sure how current but it’s close to east cost Mopar races com King of the Street Rules • Open to Mopar powered door cars only • 1/8 Mile, Heads Up, .400 Pro Tree, All Run Blind Draw, Clocks Off • Rear Tires 29.5x10.5 non w or 315 radial (29.5″ tall tires allowed up to 10.5 for a slick and 13.5 in a dot street tire 325/50/15 allowed) • Over 4.900 BS N/A only - Cars must weigh 3100# and run 29.5x10.5 or Drag Radial • Must retain stock fire wall and front frame rails in stock location, aftermarket bolt on front suspension allowed • Any rear suspension allowed • Wheelie bars allowed • Backhalf (aftermarket rear frame rails) allowed • Stock appearing interior (stock style dash, can be fiberglass) • Any Single power adder allowed (No Nitrous and Boost) • Billet Blocks or Heads Not Permitted Weights: • Boosted big block 3350lbs • Boosted small block 3100lbs • Nitrous big block 2950lbs • Nitrous small block 2700lbs • N/A big block 2700lbs • N/A small block 2300lbs • Add 100lbs for any Hemi Headed Combo • Add 50lbs for Methanol Fuel • (Deduct 50lbs for Leaf Springs) • (Deduct 100lbs for 440-1 Nitrous Combinations) • (Deduct 100lbs for the following cylinder heads - B1-BS, Indy EZ, Indy SR, Bulldog, Edelbrock, 440 Source, Mopar Performance [W7,8,9 Heads Excluded], Pro Comp or Production Casting) • (Deduct 100 lbs for Stock Factory Iron Block for Non Hemi Applications Only)
1970 Duster Edelbrock headed 408 5.984@112.52 422 Indy headed small block 5.982@112.56 mph 9.42@138.27

Would be cool to see a KOS race today to see what shows up and what would win, and agree, leave the rules loose. That duster clearly is a street style car I watch some of the old KOS races on youtube, and my Duster would be smack in the middle of the pack with a 9.42...Things have got a lot faster since then....Just like Drag Week cars....I have seen some damn fast street legal cars at our track, and wow, some of them really run. Then there are cars like this out there now!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mN-Inprk3bw&t=15s

I saw the old Chapman Superbee for sale on FB the other day. It was a player at one time, not sure how much it's been updated.
