So the front of my Challenger is stiff as a board. It doesn't rise easily or compress easily and I think it is the main problem I'm having with unloading the rear times. It currently has 8" 450lbs coilover springs on the alterkation. I am going to try a lighter spring at 350lbs to get more stored energy to help the frontend transfer weight. Do you guys think I should go for a longer spring like maybe a 9" spring or stick with another 8". I was wondering about coil bind issues and such, but don't really have much experience with coilover springs. Any advice would be nice.

we are using the 450 lbs on our alterktion on the 63 dodge, 3500 lb car so far seems to be ok.
The front end lifts on the starting line like it did with the OEM suspension.
The ride height is almost level just a degree down in the front.
Our car is a ladder bar.
How tight are your front springs adjusted?
What do you have the shocks set at?
I have the fronts counter clockwise then 4 clicks in.

After talking with Bill @ alterktion the front shocks are not a 90 / 10 but more a 60 / 40

The springs are not adjusted up very much at all. I have the shocks as loose as they go and it still feels like trying to pull up on a 1500 series pickup truck. There is very little free movement. I have been battling a spinnig issue for over a year now, but it is more inconsistant now than before. It is close to hooking every pass but not yet. If it is this bad now in the summer it will be all over the place. My chassis guy and I think the front end being what feels to be locked down is the culprit.
