Looking to get new slicks, Currently run Hoosier DO5 14.5x32, 3000 lb 4 link A body. These slicks seem to work great when it is cool, but when track gets hot,it just spins. I thought it was the car , and then I heard that this tire was for a light car(dragster) and I should be running a harder tire?Any suggestions on brands, compounds. Car runs low 10,s 60' in the 1.34 range

If you want to stick with the 14 x 32, I've had good success with Mickey Thompson stiff sidewall's. My car weighs 3000 with me in it and run's high 9's.

I thank that the M/T are the best 10.5W tires out there now and for the last 3 or 4 yrs. Sorry Fred, not trying to steal your thunder.

I run a Hoosier 32" x 13.5W x 15" . The "W" stands for stiff sidewall. Car weighs 2755 with me in it. Ladder bar car.

We race on a slick track every week. And had the same problems with the D-5 hoosiers spinning in hot weather. Several of us are running Phoenix F-9 compound and been working great for us.

Thanks for all the replys, I have been hearing good things about the Phoenix f9's and the Goodyear D5's. Not sure if the 10.5 w would fit my rims, and I would be losing about 4 inches in section width, not sure how it would look?
