As my dad always says "A little information is a dangerous thing" Wait until they see what a lithium mine looks like Yep, and battery mountains...the discarded old ones. Ooops, I guess the ICE was so bad afterall.
Facts are stubborn things.

Wow. A lot of negative Nancy's here.
Like it or not the Banshee will smoke the new Mustang. I'm not an EV fan, but 0-60 in 2.6 Seconds is pretty impressive.
As far as the Hurricane, not much has been published about them yet. Judging by the 30mpg of the 3.6l Pentastar/8 speed combo in the Challenger I'd bet it going to be 30+ mpg with the HP of a HEMI. 82% of america in not adapted for EV charging. That is the first problem. second is that how do you make an EV faster? There are no headers, blowers, turbos, camshafts, nitrous, cylinder heads, engine. intake upgrades you can do to it. Every car person out there that has a fast car (even Demon owners) has had made mods to make their cars faster. Eliminate the ability to make a car faster, say goodbye to over 70% of your potential market. These latest decisions could bankrupt Chrysler/Dodge again.

Lithium prices have more than tripled in the last year and has gone up 10X since 2012, they been telling us battery prices are gonna come down for years "we just need a little more technology and the price will come down" "we just need higher production volume and the price will come down"... well lithium ion batteries were first invented around what 1985? 37 years of development and gooberment subsidies ain't enough to bring the prices down? Also my 5-10 year old power tool batteries all need replaced and cost more than a new tool does, tesla owners with 10 year old cars are already griping that a new battery is more than the car is worth, why do you think Elon Musk shot his roadster into space? Apparently that was cheaper than buying a new battery for it.

It's not just Mopar this applies to Ted. Take a look at the Camaro. GM is a complete disaster. I used to think a company like GM should hire about 10 "car guys" to simply tell them their designs suck. Mopar at least had the formula figured out with the Challenger. Want to build a Camaro that sells, dust off the design for the 68, drop in the 6.2 liter with a 6 speed, Bingo. After a couple of years move on to the 69. Heck, 10 years later they could redo the 70 1/2 design. They would sell like crazy. Any american auto company that is not at least offering a v8 as an option is committing suicide IMHO. It has also been suggested that with the SCOTUS ruling against the EPA on power plants, there might be a case coming against the EPA on CAFE.

GM has a soccer mom at the helm that was put there during the steering column debacle (you remember the debacle...where GM filed a bogus bankruptcy to shield themselves from liability and walked away from that whole mess at the expense of the taxpayer). She was put there to placate

I gotta wonder whether the fine folks of Moparts would be better running an auto company than those at the helm? Actually may be true others could do better. Read “On a Clear Day You Can See General Motors.” Sometimes people get jobs they aren’t able to do, like happened to GM.

No idea how much that cost GM. --> Nikola-One-promo-features-motorless-truck-in-motion <--

It has also been suggested that with the SCOTUS ruling against the EPA on power plants, there might be a case coming against the EPA on CAFE. Well, the formula you speak of was just marketing. Dodge was saddled with an old platform that needed updating pronto, but there was no money. With sedan sales falling and many companies discontinuing theirs, Dodge had an opportunity and exploited its position with aplomb, marginally tweaking the platform with horsepower and turning the division into a performance brand in ways it never was. But it had to come to an end. We're actually lucky how it has panned out but honestly we got these hp warriors out of necessity for survival and nothing more. I wonder what the people in the tall buildings of Detroit know that we don't? They're preparing for a future that we can't envision because we are men stuck behind a keyboard.

They are all heading down a path towards bankruptcy sales. Battery tech needs to improve hugely, as right now costs are 2X that of an ICE engine, mileage is still way to limited by multiple factors and the total impact on the environment is not really any better. Add in EV costs now averaging well over 50k, supply limitations on current battery components and the fact that if we went 100% we would see our electric bill go up 3X. Nope, I'll stick with what I know works.

I seen the same vid as everyone else. I never heard him say the would not be any more challengers or chargers. Heck there is even a 24 charger right in front of you What he DID say was. There will be no more challenger or challenger in this configuration (hemi) as we have now You would be a fool t9 think they will just up and stop making there largest selling cars. It will just be on a different platform
