what pistons do you have? factory replacement? speed pro h116cp's or KB107's?
one thing, mag rockers are 1.6 ratio, so your .480 lift cam becomes a .512" lift. finding valve springs to work with that that don't brake the bank is hard. hughes 1110 springs & matching retainers should work or GM3100 V-6 springs and retainers should too, but it'll be right on the edge.
search the Q&A for magnum, lots of good discussion over the past month.

If you go with the magnums, drop back to a .444 lift cam and you will be back where you were. Patrick's advice on small blocks is spot on in his posts on this board. Craig

at the risk of sounding like a jack [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean], why not build the 5.9? Roller lifters, the pistons are matched to the quench in the heads. Get a roller cam for an LA, switch timing covers and drill the heads for the Eddy intake, and if I remeber correctly, a 318 oil pan and pickup.
What pistons do you have in the 360 now?
I am going that route rihgt now......lots of torque from the 5.9 ! Dan

Yeah I have factory replacment pistons. The cam is 480/480lift... 292/292dur... 109 centerline... 230@.050. I have the comp springs that were suggusted for this cam. Will they work? I dont drive the car on the street if that makes a difference. Its a track toy only. How much will the heads raise my compression with a thin head gasket? Quote:
