The 416 stroker for my Barracuda should be done by the end of the month, so I should be installing it soon. In doing so, I need to get a new exhaust system. I am looking to get a complete system, including the hardware, from headers to the tips.
Does anyone make a complete system and if so, what will it cost?
I could piece one together, but would rather get it all in one shot.

I saw those, but you need to order headers & tips seperately. It's not that big a deal to do so, I was wondering if there are other options.
If that is the way to go, I was looking at Hedman ceramic coated headers, and the the Summit system w/o the mufflers. For mufflers, I was thinking of Flowmaster or Dynomax. I had Flowmasters on my old Cutlass and loved them. I also hear good things on the Dynomax. I want something on the loud side, but not kill my ears w/ it when I am cruising w/ the top down.
Anyone run the Summit mufflers? How are they in comparison?

summit also makes a 3" system these are made by heartthrob exhaust out of MN. Pypes makes some 2.5" systems as well, or there's TTI.

I like the TTI stuff, but it's a bit on the expensive side for now.I looked at the Pypes systems, too.
I think I will go w/ the 3" Summit setup, w/ Hooker Comp Headers. I still need to decide on the Summit mufflers or not.

the summit mufflers may not be 3" internal, most standard super turbos are only 2.5" internal even if 3" in-out. I'd probably look at magnaflows, or if you want a little quieter, 17769 dynomaxes (they're 3" in/out/internal, 5x11x20" case)

I looked at the Magnaflow website and they don't list mufflers for a 1968 A body.  I only saw E-body.

if you're getting the summit or pypes system w/o mufflers, they just use a universal center/offset muffler, (either 2.5 or 3" depending on kit). and probably use a "standard" sized 4x9x14" case muffler. if you want a little better noise suppression you could use a larger body (like say an 4x9x18" body, or a 5x11x22, or a 5x8x14,18, or 24")..you'd just have to trim a little out of the pipe off the header for the longer muffler.

No matter what header you buy you will have to take the steering linkage apart to get the header up in there. Only the TTI and Dougs will hang up tight with good ground clearance. All the others will hang low.

I have hooker comps, some of the tubes are nice and
round, the lower ones are all "flat" on the bottom now....

do your self a big favor,and buy tti complete system. the headers on a a-body fit better than anything else-period. the others tie up the draglink,block the filter,and are junk in general,imho. the tti's i have installed have nice fitment,and the dynomax's sound good. the racers say the tti header dont flow like the race headers,but if its on the street and a driver,who cares about 10hp,and its a pain in the azz?pay more now,and be happy,or pay less,and be on this site biotchin' how everything bangs,leaks and clunks later,lol.
