Is there any way to make a later 727 work with a push button on dash control ?

it is to bad that they didn't tell him that to start with back then down
I 'm assuming they wanted him to work for them free to do research and development over the phone. on that application down rant

They have been very clear since as far back as I have been looking at their stuff that it's for Torqueflights.

Now if you friend doesn't know what that means that is on him.

Since there is almost zero demand for something to mate a a "GM 250 O.D. tranny", whatever that is, to Mopar pushbutton controls I seriously doubt they want him to do the R&D. Most likely they were trying to placate what turn outed to be a moron, and since your friend was working with a non-existent transmission it's no wonder IS couldn't help him eyes

Well as you know I have never claimed to know anything about Ford, GM or any other car makers products, let alone the proper names or model numbers I remember telling him to go with a 518 torkflite with adapter bellhousing for his M.W. motor but he was too cheap to go that route hence the issues with him using a GM O.D. automatic in his 63 Fury puke down
Typical show car guy shruggy

Thank you very much for the link. I just bought a 57 D100 sweptside and I might upgrade the running gear with something newer. It has the pushbutton on the dash.

Be aware that the Imperial Services PB conversion works best on '62-'65 TF's that have the Park feature. On pre-'62 there is no provision in the PB shifter to engage the park mechanism. On my '57 NY, I connected a '62-'64 PB cable to the '57 shifter and mounted a separate '62-'64 mechanism under the dash to operate the park cable and engage the park mechanism on the tail housing.
