JUST got home from a local car show where I bought a set of those to use to duplicate the rubber plash shields on them.

I just went and looked. They are definately a semi-gloss black and the ones I have show al slight overspray of body color on them.

Maybe YOU can answer a question for me. What years do these fit 68-70, all B bodies (Coronet, Charger, RR)?

Are you talking about the metal shield under the frame railto protect the starter? It doesn't sound like it, inner fender near the firewall sounds like the snap in shields held by spring clips... If thats what your refering to mine sure don't have any metal on them...

I bought one of those starter shields. Maybe you can help me with that. It's the 2nd from the left. what application is that? Someone loaned me one from a 68-70 B body i think, that I didn't get time to finish, and it was different than this one.

The splash shield that the original poster asked about is on the left. There is a C shaped rubber seal at the top and an extrusion with staple/clips on the edge (that are NOT on this one but very similar piecers are on the shield on the right)

The metal shield on the right and the rubber pieces at the far right are for a 66-67 Belevedre. Guy had the splash shields for sale and a fender. I was able to talk him outta the headlight pieces off the fender too.

Oh and got 2 NOS Mopar mirror gaskets to add to my collection.

So whats that starter shield for? POSSIBLY for a 66-67 Belevedere since I bought it off the same guy?

I don't know what that one fits but I have a 68-70 style if you'd like to use it...

BTW I'm waiting till you have everything then I'll just place one big order...

Yep. I'd like to borrow it.

Another guy loaned me one but it took FOREVVER to get the material. Finally have it. Now I'm in the process of having all the clips/staples made - out of stainless. There are 3 VERY common clips and one oddball on with a rould shaped wire head only used on 71-4 B bodies. Hopefully Auveco has them

Thanks. I'll PM you my home address.

PS I'll OWE you a whole set of gaskets - just let me know what and when
