Over TEN YEARS ago I built a 440 with a 4.15 crank (496 CID), Ross 11:1 piston on Eagle H-beams with Chevy pins, Edelbrock 7193 intake, Hughes "prepped" Edelbrock heads, Hughes SEH4652BL hydraulic cam (see card, using 1.6 rockers). Life happened and it sat there waiting..... a few weeks ago we FINALLY fired it up and put it on the dyno. I was hoping for 575 HP and 600 TQ, but I was doing the Snoopy Dance when the numbers came up!

Nice! That ought to be a real nice stump pulling street motor. The pics don't work for me, but I assume it made more than you hoped for!

That's a great build there, the numbers seem impressive and way up there, and I have to admit I like that it's a hydraulic flat tappet.
what is it going into?

It made 639 HP and 675 TQ, I was really surprised! Wow, yeah that's way more than I would have thought from that combo! Nice!

I see Frank in the back ground doing some tuning. That is impressive for sure. Thanks! We really didn’t tune it too much, just bumped the timing from 36° total up to 37° We were running the shop’s 830 CFM carburetor. I’ve got a Sniper system for it, so hopefully there’s even a little more in it?

I've seen similar results with similar parts more than once Dan,AKA Dram, (may he R.I.P.) didn't believe those results years ago My first pump gas stroker 400 with 4.250 stroke and 4.375 bore with 9.25 to 1 compression ratio with a set of ported big valve iron 906 heads with a low deck six pack Eddy intake set up with OEM 440 six pack carbs modified by C&J engr..made 612 HP at 5500 RPM and 644 Ft. lbs. at 4500 RPM using CA 91 octane pump swill Your heads are probably better than my old ones were Be VERY careful with your new found power, it can bite you

I'd be dancing, too, with numbers like that!
Very nice results.
I wish I could have gone for crazy numbers on mine but it wouldn't work with the car.
