It isn't easy to find a set of big block valve covers that actually fit and seal up tight. The Indy and Trick Flow covers work great for race cars, but they don't have any holes in them so that can be a hassle for a street engine. I'm not aware of any good street valve cover that has an oil cap as well as a breather and PCV. I looked for a long time and I tried a bunch of different covers but they were all junk. I ended up making my own. The ones I made fit correctly and seal up tight. andy i wish i would have bought that set from you when they were for sale.

I use the Mopar Performance Black Cast ones on my Trick Flow 240 heads using the Moroso rubber with steel valve cover gasket. Haven't had any issue or leaks in the 4 years I've had them on. I usually check the rocker arms once a season and reuse the same gaskets. i dont think those are being made anymore.

I'm using the Summit valve covers also. I bought them maybe 6 years ago? The upper bolt holes were in the wrong location, too low, they might have fixed this since. Easy enough to fix with a die grinder. Also I had to put a small notch in the passenger side valve cover to clear the MSD distributor. I've probably had the valve covers off and on maybe a half dozen times this year alone, all in all the look good and seal well with Moroso 93055

That is why the valve cover holes are so big and even that doesn't always work. In a previous post I posted the bolt hole dimensions of several heads including TF270. I have fixed several valve covers for folks over time to fit their heads..

Any positive comments on any of the old "Classic" cast covers, like M/T, Cal Custom, Offy, Edelbrock ? I haven't tried any of the older classic cast covers other than the Mopar Performance cover. The MP cast covers are too wide to seal properly. They are so wide that they shear a lot of gaskets and develop huge oil leaks. I found this out the hard way and was super sad when I figured it out since I had already invested in multiple sets of Mopar cast covers. I did eventually figure out that if you used the correct super thick fiber gasket from FelPro that you could kind of make the Mopar cast covers work. I would assume that the same is true for all of the old classic cast covers but I don't really know. I'd have to look at them and take some measurements before I knew if they would work. After messing around with valve covers for a long time I finally figure out how to quickly tell if they will work or not. I built a little gauge tool that would show me if the valve cover would fit. Most valve covers fail the test. I'm not sure why, it isn't a difficult job to design a valve cover that works. I did it myself using a $99 CAD tool. So if I can do it so can any engineer working at any of the big places like Holley or Edelbrock.

I must have just gotten lucky. There wasn't a thing wrong with the ones that I got. My friend also bought a set for his small block and they were fine , as well.
