I have one that has been repaired. I used an electric fan and didn't use the foam spacers between the core and the fan. After a handful of years it rubbed a pin size hole in the bottom edge of a 2 tubes. I had it repaired by Moparacer. He used some type of epoxy I think and basically bypassed those tubes. It's been like that for probably 7-8 years and I haven't had any issues. I was smart enough when I put it back in to make a mounting bracket from aluminum angle iron to mount the fan to so it doesn't touch the radiator at all.
